Passionate about the impact of technology on society, I enjoy being alongside inspiring entrepreneurs and innovative decision-makers.
Advising them from the early stages of their projects, helping them ask the right questions, anticipate challenges (overall strategy, concrete roadmaps, user experience), being the trusted partner who thinks and delivers.
My favorite topics: machine learning, encryption, content sharing platforms, disruptive technologies, digital rights.
Being a lawyer allows me to navigate between in-depth research (reading tech white papers on reinforcement learning or homomorphic encryption, studying intellectual property code and fundamental rights charters) and practice (addressing very concrete pain points, finding solutions for complex disputes, resolving urgent situations).
I've always believed that a good lawyer should be creative and multilingual. Creative to find solutions that go beyond conventional approaches, which is expected in the emerging technology sector, where being a trailblazer is crucial. Multilingual to tailor the discourse to different audiences, whether they are tech, business, or legal. Making legal advice simple is where the real complexity lies.
To summarize this approach, the concept of entropy seemed like the perfect term. It is, therefore, a natural extension of "Basdevant Avocats," which I founded in 2019 with a fantastic team that helped us be recognized as the best technology law firm in 2023. We are now “Entropy”
Graduated from ESSEC Business School and the University of Panthéon-Sorbonne, I work at the intersection of technology, law, and public policy. To be a strategist, one must closely follow the evolution of technology, not just practice law. Above all, have a 360° vision and discourse. This requires constantly exploring the new frontiers of tech and regulation.
I have done this as a member of the French National Digital Council (CNNum) – independent body named by French Prime Minister to study tech challgenes – and through my online media "Coup Data," where I extend my work on defending digital rights.
In 2022, I handed out the exploratory report on the metaverse to the Ministers of Economy, Culture, and Digital, co-authored with researchers Camille François and Rémi Ronfard.
I am also the author of the book 'The Empire of Data,' which traces the history of our relationship with data and provides keys to protecting individuals and society in the age of technological advances.
These initiatives are the best way to introduce myself, as they characterize how I engage with these topics and my specific approach.
If this resonates with you, write to us, and together, we will shape the law of tomorrow.
